The Henry Big Boy Mare's Leg Side Gate is a compact lever-action pistol chambered for both .357 Mag and .38 Special. Its 12.9-inch octagon barrel pairs with a hardened brass receiver and American Walnut furniture for the classic Big Boy appearance. A five-round tubular magazine feeds through the side loading gate, while the exposed hammer, large loop lever and saddle ring provide the handling characteristics associated with the Mare's Leg design. The front bead and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with diamond insert provide a practical factory sighting setup, and the automatic transfer bar safety helps prevent an unintended discharge when the hammer is lowered.
