A: Adair, since this doesn't have a stock it can still be classified as a pistol. A pistol can have a barrel over 16 inches but a rifle can't have a barrel under 16 inches. Not sure why the manufacturer decided to do it that way but it's perfectly legal. Hope this helps.

A: Adair, it's perfectly legal (barring bizarre local laws) to have rifle length barrels on a pistol. It doesn't have a stock, so it is still a pistol. The SP5L was designed and manufactured to meet the definition of a civilian pistol.

A: Adair, yes you can, a stock would make it a rifle. Pistols can be converted to rifles and back. If it starts as a rifle it has to stay a rifle.
