Had a more difficult transaction this time. Sent in a rifle that I was not using looking for a fair trade for an HK USP .45 ACP. Bud's replied quickly with a fair trade offer. Shipping was fast and smooth. Bud's has all angles covered well. The pistol was top of the line with the expected German quality. Smooth in the hand and with the long slide and barrel ( Elite ) it was a joy to shoot. No malfuctions in 300 rounds same day use. I mixed FMJ, JHP, and FMJ-FP. Accuracy was too cool. I had to qualify at 7 yards. It was a complete joke using a German target pistol at that distance, but fun to see a single ragged group at the end of the session.Trust in HK and Bud's!

Definitely a very unique gun. In the hand, just like almost any HK product, the quality seems to be there. Now my experience with this gun has been underwhelming. During the first 40 rounds I experienced a FTF issue where the slide would stop just slightly out of battery with the round hanging up half way up the breech face. It was almost as if the round was being stopped by the extractor. This issue would happen every 3-4 rounds. Different ammo made no difference. Sent the gun back to HK, to no one's surprise, they couldn't recreate it….. back to the range, same issue…all the while my Glock 21 and FNX 45 are eating the same ammo without the first issue. I decided to continue to run the gun for another 100 rounds with some rapid fire. To my amazement, the gun began to function better. Really sad that a $1200 HK needs a break in period… this gun is a super accurate range toy that I would NOT use for home defense or any situation where a reliable gun is needed. I would NOT buy this gun again.
