The Iver Johnson 1911A1 Hawk Polished is a .45 ACP, 1911A1-style single-action pistol built around a 4.25-inch barrel and a compact 8+1 capacity. It features a contrast deluxe blued finish with high polish on the frame and slide sides, matte bluing on the top of the slide and underside of the frame, plus Novak LoMount style iron sights for quick target alignment.

Opened the plastic...
Opened the plastic case and observed the gun was kind of greassy. OK I cleaned it up. Upon take down the plunger tube fell off, I needed to restake it. Took down completely to inspect sear and hammer, they were machined with an ax. TERRIBLE. Probably over 10# trigger pull. After I worked them I got the trigger pull down to 4#. I know this was not a Kimber but it was very poor from the factory. Buds was good as always, but Iver Johnson was very poor.
