Love this pistol! Read...
Love this pistol! Read the reviews, know all about the FTF issues, and yes, had some myself. After trying numerous types of ammo, I took it to my gunsmith to see what his opinion was. He came to the same conclusion I did, and it is a pressure issue more than anything else. All of the FTF problems I've had have come with standard ball ammo. I have NEVER had any issues with several brands of hollow points, particularly Hornady and Buffalo Bore. Both of these feed like butter, and since I don't use ball ammo for self defense anyway, I have no problem with that. It limits my range time with it due to the price of the ammo, but I shoot about 100 rounds a year through it, and since it's a backup gun anyway, that's OK. There is just no other gun that is as easily slipped into a pocket than this one.

I love this gun. I...
I love this gun. I read a lot of reviews and complaints about this gun and after some research it seems that the gun is ammo sensitive. After receiving the p380 I cleaned it and took it straight to the range. I researched the ammo that most people online felt was the best for the p380. There were mixed results after trying 10 different brands of ammo. Some of the suggested brands did poorly and some of the brands that were not supposed to work ended up working well. I had two brands that worked flawlessly during the 200 round break in. The other brands all had a few issues. This is what I expected from such a small gun with very small tolerances. I would go into the details of which ammo works best but I believe everyone will have mixed results as I did and the best thing to do is try a bunch of different rounds. I will tell you that Eco Browning and Perfecta didn't go into battery AT ALL. After I gathered all my results I emailed Ian at Kahr and was told that they wanted to have a look at it. They paid for the shipping both ways. When the gun was returned to me they had re worked the barrel and changed the springs out. I took it straight to the range and it was awesome. I love shooting this gun. It feels great in my hand (for a micro 380. I'm a small guy anyway). It's super accurate and a joy to shoot. I think with tiny guns like this you have to put your work in and find the right ammo for it.

After waiting a long...
After waiting a long time to take possession (CA B.S.) I finally took my new KAHR P380 out to shoot for the first time today (Thanksgiving day morning, had the range all to myself) First round went off OK but the second one (first auto fed) the slide didn't close all the way, no prob new gun tight fit, I had to push the slide to get it closed then it was down hill from there. Jamb after jamb the slide not closing and it wouldn't let me push it closed a lot of the time which forced me to have to un-chamber live rounds, scary at best. Finally after struggling through about 50 rounds of two different brands of ammo I gave up, my hand were hurting from all the abuse. I'm so surprised what a terrible gun it is especially after reading and watching on You-Tube all the positive comments/reviews "best of the small 380s". I carry a LC9 (great gun) but wanted something a little smaller the Ruger LCP isn't on California's approved list but the P380 is and since it's almost $200 more than the LCP I expected a special gun, wow, am I disappointed. I just recently bought an inexpensive Rock Island 1911 and it's been flawless since the first shot. This it the first time I've bought a gun online so I hope customer service is up to par, not looking forward to the hassle of shipping a firearm.
