The Kel-Tec PLR-16 is a lightweight, gas-operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in 5.56 NATO. Its long-stroke gas-piston system and Johnson/Stoner breech-locking design provide a rifle-inspired operating system in a compact pistol platform suited to silhouette shooting and hunting. The 9.2-inch barrel uses a 1:9-inch right-hand twist and is threaded 1/2x28 TPI for compatible muzzle devices. Adjustable front and rear sights support precise aiming, while the integrated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail accommodates a wide range of accessories. The polymer construction helps keep the unloaded weight to 3.4 pounds.
