The Kimber Custom II GFO is a full-size 1911-style pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Its 5-inch barrel and single-action semi-automatic operation provide the familiar handling and controls expected from a Government-size 1911. This Shot Show configuration combines a green fiber optic front sight with a white-dot rear sight for a high-visibility sight picture, while rubber grips provide a secure, comfortable hold. The pistol includes one 8-round Tac-Mag and features a manual thumb safety together with a grip safety.

This pistol is a great...
This pistol is a great value for its price. The finish is flawless. The trigger is very smooth and I estimate the pull is about 4 pounds. There is almost no takeup, the triggers breaks cleanly, and reset is short. There is no slide-to-frame or slide-to-barrel play in either the up/down or side/side directions. I really like the beaver tail with memory bump. It allows my hand to fit slightly higher on the grip toward the bore axis than my other 1911's. I personally like the trigger and hammer styles used in this pistol. The thumb safety is smooth and requires just the right amount of effort to operate; it has a definitive click when rotated on or off. The thumb safety extension makes it easier to operate the safety as compared with the standard length safety on a base model. The front and rear slide serrations provide excellent purchase when operating the slide. The rubber grips are functional, but nothing fancy. They provide a secure gripping surface. I like the rear sight. I find the front fiber optic sight to be a bit small in diameter and not that bright. Overall, I'm very pleased with this pistol and I would buy it again. Buds is also a great business to work with.

This pistol is great. It's very accurate with multiple hand loads. I have run over 150 rounds without a failure of any kind. The trigger breaks crisply at 4.5 pounds with a short reset. I did change out the rubber grips. If you are looking for a good shooter, then this is it. A great price from Bud's on an all steel pistol.
