First off, not rain,...
First off, not rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor gloom of night, nor Chinese-created, politically manipulated viral pneumonia strain can keep Bud's from delivering in a timely manner! Kudos for the great turnaround! \r This is a great 1911. Eats everything - 185gr, 200gr, 230gr. The balance is nearly perfect. It is nose-heavy just enough to make a nice difference on the follow-up shot. The one issue, and a minor one considering everything else is top-notch, is the grips. Two rounds, they are loose. Tighten them up with a 1/32 hex. Two more rounds, they are loose again. Kimber must have made a midnight purchase on 1/32 hex fastners. I swapped out the grips for a set of Hogue's. Also swapped out the fastners. That made all the difference. As for fit and finish, I haven't found a sharp edge yet. The slide is pretty tight. Time will tell if it stands up to the Sonoran Desert. All in all, worth every dime.
