The matte black finish, front strap checkering, and aggressively textured G10 grips provide a secure hold. Fixed Meprolight Tritium 3-dot night sights support aiming in reduced-light conditions, and the aluminum match-grade trigger is factory set at approximately 4 to 5 pounds. A full-length guide rod and 22-pound recoil spring complete the factory configuration.

Very nice pistol, I have between 800 to 1000 rounds thru this gun and it feeds any ammo I put thru it semi wadcutters, hard ball , hollow points 185 grain to 230 grain zero malfunctions. Kimber doesn't build the top of the line 1911 but this is definitely a quality firearm.

Great gun. Was sopping in oil, but in a plastic bag.Wiped up. Re oiled and shot over 150 rounds, not one malfunction. Nice grips. No wiggle in slide to frame. Smooth trigger. Saftey is solid, no mush. Easy to engage, disengage. Buds is fast to ship as usual. I think this 1911 hits a nice mark.... Nice enough for a 1911, but just right for reg to hard use.. Solid 1911. Second Kimber, zero issues.
