Let me start by saying...
Let me start by saying I have not yet nor probably ever will shoot this gun. It's going in the safe if I don't sell it right away. My review is purely on first impression and value of the "one year only" gun. Although the gun is beautiful, I am totally underwhelmed with this "Collector's Edition" release. I searched everywhere I could online to find out what was included with the "Collector's Edition" release but couldn't find any information on it. I ordered it anyway hoping Kimber would be proud of their firearm and include it in a collector's quality case with some commemorative extras. I don't know, maybe some paperwork or a coin or a knife or anything. Nope, nada, zilch. Nothing. The gun came in a plastic bag in the same old plastic case. Not even one extra magazine. I did get a sweet firearm lock I could throw in the closet with about 50 others. "Here you go, thanks for your hard earned money and have a nice day". If you want to buy this gun to shoot provided you have several extra magazines, go for it. I can not recommend this purchase unless Kimber was to step up and make it a true collectible worth owning. Just my 2 cents on what could have been a great item.
