Its lightweight aluminum frame is finished in gray KimPro II, while the steel slide has a matte black finish. The 3-inch ramped match-grade barrel, match-grade trigger, and fixed Meprolight Tritium 3-dot night sights provide dependable handling and aiming in varied conditions. An extended ambidextrous thumb safety, grip safety, front-strap checkering, and checkering beneath the trigger guard enhance control and carry readiness. Laminated double-diamond grips complete the classic 1911 configuration.

Extremely...
Extremely disappointed. This is the second Kimber ordered from buds. They sold it to me in not the original box and with a broken ambi safety. Kimber is fixing it but I don't believe Kimber would have left it out of it's shop like that. Probably a buds floor model that they just threw in a box and shipped it out the door. $1100 gun thanks buds....never again and no one else I can convince.

Don't think you can...
Don't think you can get a better 1911 than a Kimber anywhere close to this price. Well built and reliable. Used as CCW most of the time for the last seven years. Factory mag could cause jams. Wilson mags took care of that problem.
