Description
Product Overview
The Kimber Ultra RCP II LG is a compact Custom Shop 1911-style pistol chambered in .45 ACP and designed for discreet carry. Its three-inch barrel and 25-ounce weight support a slim, lightweight profile, while the flat frame and bobbed controls help reduce snag points during presentation. Rather than conventional sights, the RCP II uses a recessed sighting channel for a smooth exterior, complemented by factory-installed rosewood Crimson Trace LaserGrips for close-range aiming assistance. The pistol combines a single-action trigger system with a manual thumb safety and grip safety in a refined carry-focused package.

The pistol is as...
The pistol is as advertised. Its light and smooth. Nothing to hang up on when drawn from holster. Have only fired 200 rds through it at 15 yrd target and groupings are pretty tight but as only other review listed it doesnt take anything but Kimber mags. Jammed 4x on Wilson Combat mags. A little research said these mags might not function properly because of Kimbers ramped barrels on certain models. Magazine that came with pistol is Kimbers cheapest mag. Pretty lame to get that after spending $1400 on a Custom Shop pistol.

Not quite as accurate...
Not quite as accurate as my Kimber Gold match. Jams unless using kimber mags, odd in my opinion, but my Chip McCormick mags that work great in all other 1911s just jam in this, same for all other non kimber mags. Then there is the coating, it is really awful, and I fear it is the same coating as most black kimbers, it rubs off from just being in a pocket - unacceptable for a $1300 gun. Too bad Kimber does not understand how to apply a good wear resistant coating.
