The Les Baer Custom 1911 Monolith is a full-size .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol built around a steel frame with an extra-long full-length dust cover that extends to match the five-inch slide. This forward weight helps reduce muzzle movement during rapid fire, while the hand-tuned action and National Match barrel support the pistol's guaranteed three-inch groups at 50 yards. It features a Baer Speed trigger, an external hammer, a manual thumb safety, and a grip safety. The blue and black finish, premium checkered cocobolo grips, dovetail front sight, and low-mount adjustable rear sight complete its competition-ready configuration.

The gun itself is...
The gun itself is amazing....although did not come with "night sights" as advertised. Having saved to afford this particular purchase I just couldn't refuse the transfer based on not having night sights. The classic black on black target sights will serve my purposes but if the upgraded sights were factored into the price then that is an issue. Overall fit and finish is amazing. It isn't as tight as people complain but is smooth and lockup is fantastic.
