Top quality 1911, well...
Top quality 1911, well worth the money. Functions perfect ,nice blueing, only thing it needs is some nice burl wood grips.

I have had the pistol...
I have had the pistol a few weeks now. Very nicely built and finished firearm, bluing is dark and deep.I have many 1911's and most of them have very good gunsmith trigger jobs. But I have to say the stock trigger on the Les Baer is possibly the best I have pulled. It is a very crisp 3 1/2# with no creep and very short reset. I have only put a couple of hundred rounds through it so far. It is pretty accurate for me but I have some that are more so. With more practice it will get better as I get used to it, it handles a little differently to me than other pistols. I am not crazy about the mags that came with it, don't like the big bump pads either. I can't get Wilson mags to lock in the pistol at all but stock Kimber and Colt mags work perfectly. I really like it and will certinately keep it and carry it often, but probably will not buy another Baer, it is not that much better than 1911's I have that cost $500-$1000 less.
