The Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 C Commander is a stainless-finish, semi-automatic .45 ACP pistol built around the proven 1911 platform. Its Commander-size configuration pairs a 4.33-inch barrel with a 7.87-inch overall length for a balance of shootability and practical handling. Full-size black and gray G10 grips provide a secure hold, while the checkered alloy mainspring housing reinforces control during firing. The pistol features a skeletonized hammer, extended magazine release, extended thumb safety, and a stainless steel full-length guide rod. High-profile sculptured rear sights provide drift adjustment for windage, and the dovetailed front sight blade uses horizontal serration for a defined sight picture. This package also includes a matching 1911 fixed-blade knife with G10 grips and a Kydex sheath.

This gun instantly...
This gun instantly became my favorite pistol the moment it entered my hand. After shooting it I was positive. I've put well over 1,000 rounds through with no FTF, stove piping, double feeds or any other malfunctions. Very easy to handle. My groupings were tighter than other caliber and barrel lengths I own at the same distance. I had no experience with bushingless barrels, but after breaking down and assembling this gun countless times, I prefer the bushingless barrel. I loved that this gun came with an extremely high quality, hefty, full tanged knife with G10 grips I can exchange with the gun or order regular full sized 1911 grips for.
