The Para Ordnance Black Ops 14.45 is a full-size double-stack 1911 pistol built for maximum .45 ACP capacity and dependable control. Its five-inch ramped barrel, stainless steel frame and slide, and IonBond PVD finish provide a durable foundation, while Trijicon Tritium Night Sights support rapid sight acquisition in low-light conditions. The pistol combines an integral accessory rail, EGW HD extractor, skeletonized match-grade trigger, ambidextrous thumb safety, and beavertail grip safety. VZ Operator machined G10 grips and a checkered front strap provide a secure, confident hold during use.

I actually purchased...
I actually purchased this item a while back, and I'm only posting this review in case someone is looking for honest feedback if they happen across a Para some day. Out of the box, this pistol needed some love: it appeared well made, felt solid and smooth. Impressive construction overall EXCEPT the plastic trigger. The first few times I had the pistol out were lackluster- FTF FTE and a sharp grip panel on one side. The biggest plus was that the high cap and solid steel construction made it a very nice shooter (when it did) Fast forward a couple months, a few aftermarket parts and a couple hours of cutting and polishing a preramp in the frame- it is one of the best firing, most reliable firearms I own. If you get a chance at one and know how to tweak 1911s, this thing is completely worth it!

Great weapon at a great price thanks to Buds Gun Shop once again!!! This thing was great no malfunctions of any kind. 15 rounds of 45acp out of the holster and I carried 2 spare 14rnd mags. Heavy weapon, 4lbs loaded, but that really reduced the felt recoil.
