The Para Ordnance Elite is a full-size .45 ACP 1911 pistol built around a stainless steel frame and slide, a 5-inch match-grade ramped barrel, and hand-tuned components. Its classic single-action design is enhanced with a beavertail grip safety, manual thumb safety, skeletonized match-grade trigger, EGW heavy-duty extractor, and an oversized flared ejection port. A 2-dot rear sight and green fiber optic front sight provide a clear aiming reference, while cocobolo double-diamond grips complete the traditional custom-grade presentation.

Love this 1911, not a...
Love this 1911, not a fan of the mags or trying to find others that work for it, although the extra round is always a plus. Springfields seem to work fine. Fiber optic sights are great and highly visible and shoots great.

This side arm is one...
This side arm is one of the best if not the best 1911 I have owned to date. The finish is perfect. My FFL said it looks like a Kimber. The fiber optic front sight is very good. The trigger pull breaks nice. The slide action very smooth. The fit is tight. The ramped barrel is finished nicely. The grips are very high quality. Everything about this side arm feels and works well. Para offers a lifetime warranty on all of their new 1911's. I am proud to say this firearm is made in USA. I am thinking about purchasing the new Para Expert to add to the collection. As far as new 1911's go I will stick with Para.
