As John says, the trigger needs work to match the rest of the pistol. Otherwise it is well made and finished, and I have yet to experience any failures on feeding or extraction. Worth the money, and an even better value if the promised rebate ($100) comes through from Para Ordinance.

Excellent value for a...
Excellent value for a target 1911. The rear sight is fully adjustable to dial in the bullseye. The front sight is very easy to see, the slide action is smooth, and the trigger is much lighter that the older Para models, which used to be in the 7 lb range. I'm guessing that this is about 4 lbs out if the box, but a gunsmith could bring it down to 2.5 lbs fir target shooting. I put Hogue wrap-around black rubber grips in this for better control and excellent feel & balance. You could also use the stick wood grips & add a Pearce grip enhancer for rubber finger grooves on the front strap for better grip. I add those to all 1911s that do not have front checkering on the grip frame. This is a great buy, and with the current $100 mail-in rebate, buy one before they're sold out!!!
