The Para Ordnance GI45 Expert ESP is a full-size 1911 pistol chambered in .45 ACP and built on a durable steel frame. Its 5-inch barrel and single-action operation provide the classic 1911 handling profile, while the lightweight match trigger includes adjustable overtravel for a refined trigger setup. A beavertail grip safety with speed bump, improved combat-style hammer, and GI-style grasping grooves support confident operation. The pistol combines a fiber optic front sight with a three-dot GI rear sight for a clear aiming reference, and it includes two PXT nickel-plated magazines with removable floorplates.

This is my first 1911...
This is my first 1911 ever. I bought this gun back in July/August & it's been sitting up since then. I finally got to the range yesterday & it's an outstanding 1911 for the price. Straight out of the box, no cleaning/lubrication or anything. I only put 40-50 rounds through it. But it performed flawlessly, good trigger, no jams, the red fiber-optic front sight is a nice addition. I'm definitely sold on 1911's now. It's safe to say my next 1911 will be another Para Ordnance (P-14). Now if I can only get the 'Mrs.' to buy off on it.
