I really wanted to...
I really wanted to like this gun, but I don't. It is very nice to look at until you handle it and find that the top strap sight channel, the ejector rod housing, and hammer channel have extremely sharp edges. I mean they are as sharp as a knife (I had a 1/8 inch slice taken out of my fingernail). I took it to the gun club and after firing, the base pin kept backing out. I kept pushing it back in, but after 25 rounds, the base pin latch was stuck and the base pin would not budge as if they had been welded together. I wanted a shooter, not a project. Pietta does not warranty razor sharp edges on metal. This will require some work which is fixable, but as I said. I did not want a new gun as a gunsmith project. Maybe not all Pietta guns are like this, but I have never had this problem with other single actions like Ruger, Colt, or Uberti. This gun is my first and last Pietta. Buds was great, as has always been my experience.
