Its forged-trunnion construction supports the rugged operating system, while the 11.7-inch barrel provides a compact package for close-range use and maneuverability. Wood furniture gives this Hellpup a traditional appearance, and the side-mounted optics rail allows compatible AK-pattern optic mounts to be added. Standard AK sights and an external manual safety complete the familiar controls.

On the website it says "Caliber: 223 Remington/5.56 NATO" but on a box and the manual that I just received, it says 5.56 only.
