A: Reno, the buffer tube is removable/replaceable. You have to have a buffer tube on though in order to fire the weapon. I'd recommend buying a pistol Brace for it. Just don't buy a shoulder stock because that will make this a short barreled rifle and require a $200 tax stamp. You want a pistol brace. Hope this helps.

A: Jose, no, atleast not without a different bcg/bolt carrier group specifically made for a short buffer tube. Your average bcg is roughly 7 inches, so a 3.5 inch buffer tube wouldn't be long enough to let the bcg completely cycle. I'd use the link you provided and contact tacfire to see what it would fit.
