Just received the R1...
Just received the R1 today and was excited to go to the range with it. The gun looks with no blemishes that I can see. Unfortunately I did not dry fire it when I picked it up from the FFL, my bad. Got it home and wouldn't you know it there is a problem with it right out of the Box! The Dovetail safety is not seated correctly so it wont fire unless one squeezes extremely hard and even then wont always fire unless you squeeze it just in the right place. Not very happy. So I know Buds policy is not to accept returns once it has been accepted from the FFL so I called Remington. I mentioned that I was very surprised that it left the factory that way. The Tech said they batch test them so each gun is not individually checked. Wow! Anyway, they will repair it under warranty but I wont see the gun again for 4 to 6 weeks. Very Disappointed.

I'm glad I pulled the trigger and bought this pistol! I shot 250 rounds without any FTF or FTE. It is very accurate too! Like always Budsgunshop rendered awesome service. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a high capacity 1911.

At the first glance,...
At the first glance, it looks and feels great! I was really excited to pick this up. However, it was soaked in gun oil when it was delivered. During the inspection, it doesn't appear to have any issue. Both mags seats fine and didn't have any issue ejecting. After a closer inspection, the trigger frequently locks and one side rail under the slide actually already scratched. Now, I have to contact the manufacture to get this resolved. It's very disappointing.
