A: From everything I've read yes the barrel and slide are ported reducing muzzle rise but will slightly increase noise. It has 3 ports on the top of the slide and 3 on the barrel.

I'd imagine with the extremely high demand for firearms right now this would be current production, so gen 2 but not 100% sure. Sorry but hope this helps.
