The Rock Island Armory Rock Standard MS is a steel-frame 1911-style pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Its 4.25-inch button-rifled barrel and full-length guide rod support consistent cycling, while the black Parkerized finish provides a durable protective surface. The pistol features a skeletonized hammer and trigger, an adjustable trigger overtravel stop, fixed low-profile sights, rubber grips, and an ambidextrous manual thumb safety. A beavertail grip safety adds an additional layer of passive protection during handling.

Initial thoughts upon...
Initial thoughts upon inspection was the pistol looked well made with a number of upgrades. Cleaned it and went to the range. 230 FMJ. Pistol fired flawlessly. No problems. Weighs about 40 0z. which I prefer. Comfortable recoil and accurate. Can be upgraded more; grips, sights, etc. starting with a well made basic pistol at a great price. I own a Kimber 5" and like this commander length pistol. I highly recommend it; buy one and you won't be disappointed.
