Great carry pistol....
Great carry pistol. Fits comfortably in my inner waste holster. Would give it five stars but every once in a while , if I'm double tapping, the trigger does not seem to reset fast enough. Never had any problems single firing. very accurate. Just a heads up, it's kind of heavy but I prefer that in this gun.

Somehow I wrongly...
Somehow I wrongly entered my old out of state address for my billing address when placing my order causing a delay. Disappointed it took 16 days for gun to be shipped, but everything worked out. This is my first 9 mm 1911. I bought it to shoot the cheaper 9 mm round at the range. Very pleased with the pistol. I think because of the fiber optic front sight and the two dot rear site, gun shoots a little high beyond what I can adjust for, but shoots extremely small groups. Trigger pull is amazing. It is alot of fun shooting 9 mm 1911's after shooting .45 caliber. The mag well and back mainspring housing are polymer, but after reading some reviews, I am not disappointed. The G-10 grips are awesome as well as the front grip serrations. So far I have fired 200 rounds with no failure to fire, and only two failure to go into battery which I account for the after market mags that I bought. Finish is great and the trigger pull is light, about 4 1/2 lbs. Slide locks back each and every shot. No extraction problems. The only issue I had was the grip safety spring was weakly adjusted from the factory. I took the gun down and adjusted it out, works great. Fit and finish of gun is tight and exacting. I would recommend pistol to anyone. I have the following 1911's: Taurus, Smith and Wesson, Ruger, Tisas, Auto Ordnance and Metro Arms, The Rock Island shoots as good as any of them. Pistol is a great value. I can't wait for Rock Island to start manufacturing them in Nevada. If you buy one, you won't be disappointed.
