This was my first AR...
This was my first AR Pistol purchase. I love the gun. Very fun to shoot, and it is solid and well built. All the components are really nice except the trigger. The trigger had a 9.5 to 10 pound pull. The guys at Buds where very helpful and told me about a trigger i could purchase for $80.00 that has great reviews. I swapped the trigger out to one with a 3.5 pound pull and it's awesome. I would highly recommend Buds.

The RUGER AR-556...
The RUGER AR-556 Pistol chambered in .300 Blackout with a 10.5 barrel, a Black finish, & telescoping rist stock is exactly as advertised and what I wanted. 1st, A company with a good reputation for producing good guns. 2nd, A caliber that was designed from the ground up to work out of a short barrel (The .556 / .223 ballistics out of a 10.5 inch barrel would NOT be my first choice.) This thing handles like a submachine gun. If you are looking for a very quick "poke em in the face" to 100 yd. house, barn, yard gun. then this fits the bill perfectly for me. Plus the threaded barrel for "accessories" is a nice bit of icing on the cake. Carl
