i love this pistol....
i love this pistol. always wanted on of these and eventually came around to getting it. took it to the range to shoot, and it shot flawlessly, no misfeeds or misfires at all. the only thing i am trying to decide on is the rail on top which is solid and useful, is that i like iron sights on a pistol and this rail doesn't totally obscure the sights, it seems to be in the way a little. this has to be one of the best .22 pistols out there, and Ruger always has quality stuff.

Great improvements...
Great improvements over the Mark III 22/45. MUCH easier to disassemble / reassemble. Trigger breaks between 4.5 and 5 pounds using Wheeler manual trigger pull gauge. Easy to mount optics with the included picatinny rail. Just wish the rail had came in black to match the pistol, vice silver. I thought I'd get used to it, but decided to just go ahead and order the black rail from Ruger, so that's on its way now. Replacement grips are available at several sources online. I'm still putting rounds though it to see what it likes (regular without, and subsonic with a Q El Camino Suppressor). Leaning towards a few from Eley and CCI, but still have quite a bit to test.
