I normally only see...
I normally only see the "Lite" receiver on the 22/45 frame. When I saw this model with the "Lite" receiver on the standard frame, I decided to add to my growing accumulation of Ruger 22 pistols (Mark I thru Mark IV). I simply do not care for the 22/45 frame as a matter of personal preference. This pistol met all my expectations and is great fun to shoot. I personally feel the Mark IV factory trigger is inferior to the factory triggers on Mark I thru III pistols. This has led me to install Apex trigger kits on all my Mark IV's. The stock trigger isn't bad though and I cannot fault the gun because of it. In the final analysis, this is a fine example of the Ruger 22 pistol set up for steel shooting events such as Rimfire Challenge. It has proven quite reliable as 22 pistols go, but I will say it seems to like stouter ammunition as opposed to standard velocity or subsonic loads.
