I purchased this weapon to carry off duty as our duty weapon (Sig P220R) is just too big, and what fun is it not to have something different to carry?! I did some research and decided on the Ruger because the price and the quality just seemed like they couldn't be beat. When I got to my FFl I was a little disheartened because the rep there told me he handled the gun and did not like how it felt or the fact it was "top heavy" and that Ruger's in general are not good guns. I took this with a grain of salt because everyone is entitled to their opinion and my family has been buying Ruger's for 25 years and loves them. The gun felt GREAT in my hand, the polymer is the same you will find on a Glock or Springfield. I did notice it was top heavy but that is to be expected because the slide is thick and made of steel. I got it to the range and WOW, I put 500 rounds through it of decent grade ammo as well as reloads and did not have one stove pipe or FTF. I know trust this gun to carry off duty with my life, my families, and the public. As always Bud's was awesome and I have already put two more guns on 90 day layaway.

Just picked up my...
Just picked up my Ruger P345 yesterday and I am very happy with it. The grip is great for my small hands. The "fit and finish" is wonderful and the pistol meets all my expectations of Ruger. I did have a problem with my mags not falling free. In fact I had to forcefully pull them out each time. But I found that the hammer pivot pin was not completely seated and after pushing it in about a 1/16th the mags pop right out like they should. I would recommend this pistol for anybody looking for a quality single stack 45 ACP pistol.
