I wish I still had this little fellah still. So easy to carry night sights standard, not bad at all. Highly recommend.

Sig p290rs in 380. 400...
Sig p290rs in 380. 400 rounds in two range sessions. WWB, Speer Lawman, Federal, Remington, Aguila, Blazer Brass, Gold Dots. 6 round mag would only take 5 rounds. Had to disassemble and reassemble to get it to accept 6 rounds. Firearm failed to go into battery about a dozen times...both mags and three different types of ammo. Not sure if it's the mag springs or underpowered ammo. Even the Gold Dots failed to go into battery twice. Long trigger travel and heavy pull required (DAO). Both cause muzzle to move off target, which impacts accuracy. Noticeable amount of stacking before trigger breaks. Full let off required to reset trigger. To fire accurately had to take up the pre-travel, feel the stacking, then aim and press to fire the shot. Not sure that's the safest way to operate when you're under duress. Controlled pairs are difficult out past 10 feet. Hoping stacking/trigger weight will get better with time. No change in trigger operation after 400 rounds and at least 500 dryfire strokes. This firearm is probably better suited to someone transitioning from revolvers. Completed thorough cleaning and lube in hopes that I can make this work. Fit and finish on the actual firearm are excellent (not so much with the magazines). Takedown is different but not that bad once you do it a few times. Already spent $100 on test ammo. Gonna test another two or three boxes before making a final decision. Recoil is similar to the P238 so that might be the answer. Or maybe even a firearm with a DA/SA trigger.
