The SIG Sauer 1911 is a full-size .45 ACP pistol built around an all-stainless-steel frame and slide finished in Nitron. Its hand-fitted construction includes a match-grade barrel, premium hammer and sear components, and a crisp single-action trigger with an approximately 5-pound pull. Low-profile Novak night sights support rapid target acquisition in low-light conditions, while front-strap and mainspring-housing checkering improve handling. Custom checkered wood grips complement the de-horned frame and slide. A beavertail grip safety with speed bump, extended thumb safety, firing pin safety, and hammer intercept notch provide layered passive and manual safety features. This no-rail configuration preserves the classic 1911 profile.

I took this gun to the...
I took this gun to the range on the same day I picked it up. I usually strip a new gun down, wipe off excess oil, and check for abnormalities and fit (tight tolerances), but I was in a rush so I just rolled the dice and took my chances. Extremely happy with the way it felt and handled out of the box. It fed every make of ammo I had with no issues. It shot just as good as my Kimber, for a lot less cash!
