Don't be deterred due...
Don't be deterred due to the fact that this firearm is MA compliant. The trigger is not 10 lbs like many forums will say it is. This model I received has more like a 5 lb pull (pre-polishing of internal parts). It has an external safety, which negates the 10 lb trigger pull and qualifies for MA gun laws, in other words. The only other difference is a tiny, see-through circle on the top/back of the barrel that shows if there's a round present in the chamber, which is actually kind of nice in my opinion. In other words, it's worth buying and is hardly any different from the regular version. This is an extremely beautiful, solid piece. So far, I haven't had 1 jam or failure to eject during my first 250 rounds, but I do use Tripp Research & Wilson Combat magazines. The only cons I would say from my entire experience is that Bud's shipped me a gun with 3 or 4 very noticeable nicks and scratches. Also, the Hogue grips looked completely worn out and the tan wood color was showing through. I had to replace them. Shipping took about 6 days to get here. Otherwise, decent experience. Thanks, Buds.

This is one of the best looking and performing 1911's for the money. You will not be disappointed! I guarantee it. My biggest reserve was the MA compliant, but the only differences compared to no MA compliant models is the upper slide and lower frame both have the serial number, and the barrel has a tiny little notch taken out of it at the top rear so you can see a round chambered. Those are the only two differences. IT WILL fire if there is not a magazine inserted. That was the only thing I was worried about. Bottom line, get one.
