The SIG Sauer 1911 Traditional Match Elite is a full-size .40 S&W pistol built around the classic 1911 design. Its natural stainless steel slide and frame provide a durable, refined finish, while the five-inch match-grade barrel supports consistent accuracy. Adjustable target sights help the shooter refine the point of aim, and the lightweight three-hole trigger contributes to a clean, controlled trigger press. Hogue custom wood checkered grips, 25 lines-per-inch front-strap checkering, and a 20 lines-per-inch flat mainspring housing provide a secure, comfortable hold. A manual thumb safety and speed-bump grip safety complete the traditional 1911 control layout.

I was totally amazed...
I was totally amazed with this gun as soon as I opened the box. Very tight fits, beautiful finish, and awesome well built gun. After firing over 500 rounds in three trips to the range I have had no failures to feed or eject. I did have to adjust the sights slightly but other than than the gun was ready to go out of the box. The trigger is a little gritty but I plan on getting it smoothed out. Of all of the 40 S&W guns I have shot this is by far the one I like the best. A pleasure to shoot with minimum felt recoil. If you are looking for a great 40 S&W pistol I highly recommend this gun.

I received this 1911...
I received this 1911 and was very surprised! The picture on Buds site doesn't do this pistol justice. This unit came with an extended slide stop a lightened hammer a flat recoil spring an extended mag release. The fit and finish is top notch the lock up is tight and the slide as no movement up and down or side to side. I had the Traditional match Sig 1911 in 45 a few years back and sold it, I regretted it right after it was gone, I always said I would replace it and I have now done that. This version of the pistol is better and has more features than the one I had. I only put 200rds through this pistol and all went well. I plan to lighten up the recoil spring and main spring and add a magwell. I am setting this 1911 up to run it in USPSA SS or maybe even L10 if it comes out nice. This unit also came with a different trigger than whats in the picture its a 2-hole dull white one. The mags are Wilson Combat 8 rounders. I purchased Tripp research Cobra 10rd Mags, they stick out a little on the bottom but still fit in the USPSA box. This also comes with Hogue black diamond grips with allow for a great feel in the hands. The only thing I can say about this pistol that's not totally positive is that the front sight is very wide. I am used to FO skinny front sights, but they are match sights and aren't really intended for USPSA. I actually like them after shooting it awhile. I will probably swap it for a FO front after awhile but not totally sure yet. I shot a new Colt Gold Cup at the same time as we shot this one and the Sig made the Colt look BAD. I would like to compare it the one of the Springers buy haven't had the chance to yet I may even buy the 9mm version of this 1911, I like it so much. There is never a problem with Buds shipping department, They just do it right! I love Buds and Sig 1911's

Nothing I can say...
Nothing I can say other than this gun is exceptional, ran over 250 rounds through it after properly lubricating it, not one fail to feed or ejection, ran everything through it from frangible to ball to hollow points and she just kept on ticking like a fine timex watch for those of you old enough to remember. This gun is extremely accurate as long as you do you part. Unlike the other Sigs, this model has the original 1911 profile so it will fit into a standard 1911 holster which means no extra expense for new leather or Kydex. Did my research and Bud's had the best price of them all, and this is why I continue to be a repeat customer.
