The Sig Sauer 1911F-45-BSS is a full-size .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol built with a stainless-steel frame and slide machined to close tolerances and hand-fitted for dependable performance. Its match-grade barrel, premium hammer and sear set, and refined trigger support precise shooting. Novak night sights provide a visible aiming reference in low-light conditions, while the 25-line-per-inch front-strap checkering and 20-line-per-inch mainspring-housing checkering help maintain a secure grip. Checkered wood grips add a classic appearance and positive handling. A beavertail grip safety with speed bump, extended thumb safety, firing pin safety, and hammer intercept notch provide layered safety features.

I picked this gun up...
I picked this gun up from my FFL last week. I already knew the gun that is in the picture is not the one I was going to pick up. The one I picked up is the Fast Back version. Not a big deal to me. I prefer the old school style frame with the so-called square butt. Would probably be real easy to conceal considering it is rounded at the bottom. I own two other .45's and I love all of them. You can't beat a .45 for it's stopping power. Plus if you run out of ammo you could always just hit the person with it considering the weight. Not that I've done that. The gun was pretty oily and needed to be cleaned. Once again no big deal. SIG loves to oil there guns. I haven't fired it yet. I plan on doing that soon. Service with buds was excellent and they shipped the gun out in a timely manner. This was my 4th purchase with Buds and if I see anything else I want to purchase I will definitely choose Buds.
