A: Jason, the $238 is just an over stocked model and the price will probably go back up as the stock goes down. Stock numbers can make quite a difference in price. (Currently there are 156 units of the $238 model and only 5 units of the $344 model).

A: Jason, Sig, to the best of my knowledge is no longer selling the Mosquito. In fact they never did actually manufacture this model. It is made by a German company that makes air and paint ball guns. Although it looks a lot like a slightly scaled down version of Sig's 226 its cheaply made. The gun is made out of zinc alloy and is prone to constant miss-feeds and jams. There are slew of videos out there on how to polish down the feed ramp lip to prevent it from catching the edge of 22 cartridge cases as it slides into the chamber. Also angle of the feed ramp may be a little to steep causing the bullet nose to slam into the top ledge of the chamber deforming the lead. I did the ramp modifications, but it helped only slightly. In my opinion, copper plated (generally more expensive) rounds feed a little better than lead and lead with "anti friction" coatings but its still hit or miss with this handgun. I would advise you to browse Bud's site and look at some of the other 22 cal handguns. I

A: The standard Mosquito model is chambered in .22 LR and has a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger. Single action trigger pull is 4.4 lbs while Double-action is 12.4 lbs. The polymer frame and small size (compared to the SIG P226) allow the pistol with magazine to weigh little more than 24.6 oz. The overall height is 5.3 inches with a barrel length of 3.9 inches. The Mosquito's frame has an accessory rail, a ten-round capacity magazine, and adjustable sights. The Mosquito used to be made in America, but is now made under license by German Sport Guns GmbH.
