The SIG Sauer P220 Elite is a full-size .45 ACP pistol built around a durable alloy frame and Nitron-finished slide. Its double-action and single-action system combines a longer initial trigger pull with a lighter single-action reset, while the SRT Short Reset Trigger supports faster, more consistent follow-up shots. An ergonomic beavertail and E2 grip improve control and handling, and SIGLITE night sights provide a visible aiming reference in reduced light. Front cocking serrations offer an additional slide manipulation point, and the pistol includes two 8-round magazines.

Best 45 acp on the...
Best 45 acp on the market. Double/single action for safe carry. Alloy frame allows the feel and sturdiness of a metal frame gun without the weight of steel that would make using it as a carry option unrealistic. Nothing beats the crisp beak of these old-style Sigs. Once you hit the 1,000 round mark, smooth as butter and breaks like glass. When you register with Sig for the warranty, you get a 15% discount at their store. I strongly recommend buying the short reach trigger at Sig. It brings the feel up another level in comfort. The blued is like $25 and the phosphate is like $60 (before your 15% discount). You Tube Sig Guy video walks you through the job. Easy and quick work. Just go slow and pause the video as needed. I also strongly recommend the Hogue Piranha grips in G10. Feels great and sticks to your hand. Order the grip screws from Hogue. Use some blue Loc-tite and/or teflon tape on the threads. I also refer the old-style braided wire recoil springs that you can get on Ebay for $10 or the Wolf Spring for $9. This will make for an incredibly accurate range gun, a light enough carry gun in hard-hitting 45 and a nightstand gun that you can add a light and laser to.
