Product Overview
The Sig Sauer P220R-22 is a full-size pistol designed around the proven P220 operating system and chambered for .22 LR, with .45 ACP conversion capability. Its double-action and single-action system incorporates a decocking lever, automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector. The machined slide is fitted with an adjustable front sight for windage and a rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation. Black polymer grips provide a secure, comfortable hold, while the Blue/Black finish offers a durable factory appearance. The pistol ships with one 10-round magazine in a lockable case.

I purchased the P-220...
I purchased the P-220 SAO in 22LR with option to buy conversion to 45acp. The trigger was gritty but cleared to crisp and clean after firs 25+ rounds. The mag provided with the gun is plastic and I experienced repeated ftf after the first 50 or so rounds. Also found the rear sight did not work for right adjustment for POA although it worked for elevation. I need to move right 1" at 50'. Sig replaced both mag and rear sight - small problem, the Sig sight tool does not fit over the adjustable sight so you cannot use it to install new rear sight. As a point of interest the Sig tool does not work on the rear sight of the Sig super Match target either, fortunately that one does not need to be moved or replaced. The gun is very accurate, fit and appearance is very good and with the exception of the problems mentioned above I am happy with the gun. Now I just have to order and test the 45acp upper.
