This was a great value...
This was a great value for what it cost. The few upgraded features were well worth the money. The P226 is one of my favorites. The Enhanced Elite is the favorite of the favorite. Well balanced and fits the hand well. Good sights, good trigger, (short reset), and good function. The extended beavertail and front serrations on the slide are great options. I chose the 40S&W chambering. It can be converted to 357Sig and even 9MM if desired. I prefer the 357Sig over the 9MM. No feed issues with the bottle neck design and the extra power with well constructed bullets is a plus. The 40S&W is a great option as well. You can change out the barrel with a few tweaks and have the 40 and 357Sig when desired. I have several P229 and P226 going back over a couple of decades and they still work like a champ after extensive use. I like the P226 when a more compact solution isn't critical. I think the extra half inch of barrel and slide length helps a bit for balance, sight radius, and recoil. Seems like the recoil impulse is a bit softer with the extra mass up front. I have an Enhanced Elite P229 also. They are well worth the extra money for what you get. I have several decent specimens of the standard models too, and the difference in handling is noticeable.\r \r I'll gladly buy another if one becomes available. I prefer the Enhanced Elite over the Legion Models of the P226 and P229. I think they are the better choice for EDC and the DA/SA Trigger is my usual choice. I have had absolutely no issues with This P226. I have a few older, well used standard versions and they have stood the test of time quite well. I have confidence that this new addition to my collection will probably outlast me. The Grandkids will be thrilled when I'm ready to hand this one down. Might need to find a couple more, just so nobody gets left out.

This was my first...
This was my first experience with Buds gun shop but not my first online purchase of a firearm. Terrific experience with Buds! Got a once in a lifetime deal on my Sig and received my pistol in 3 days to my FFL of choice. I will definitely be a return customer, awesome work! As for the Sig P226R enhanced Elite all I can say is I'm in love with Sigs again and TDA in general. To be honest I was leary about sigs reputation anymore, but from my experience this pistol has been excellent! So far at 339 rounds flawless. Most of which has been draw fire DA then SA then decock and reholster. Zero malfunction with 180gn flat points, jhp and same with 155 gn xtp jhp. The double action is smooth and a little heavier than my M9A3 but not by much and the SRT trigger is ridiculous! Can get rounds off fast if need be and the sig tames the 40 cal wonderfully. Feels same as shooting 9mm out of my polymer pistols. The new E2 grips fit my hands much better than my previous Sigs. Carrying it everyday has also proven to be much easier than I thought it would be. This pistol has quickly become one of my favorites.

this one of the best...
this one of the best hand guns i have ever shot. the price has went up since i bought mine. i looked it up on Sig Sauer website and i don't think they make this one in a 40 or 357 sig anymore. buds did a great job with one i've lost count of how many guns I've bought from them.
