The Sig Sauer P226R Elite Dark is a full-size .40 S&W semi-automatic pistol built around the P226 platform's proven double-action and single-action operating system. Its black Nitron-finished steel slide rides on a black hard-anodized alloy frame, while ergonomic black aluminum grips, front strap checkering, and a beavertail provide a secure, comfortable hold. SIGLITE adjustable Combat Night Sights support target acquisition in low-light conditions, and the Short Reset Trigger delivers a shorter reset for faster follow-up shots. The pistol uses a decocking lever and does not include a manual thumb safety.
