The SIG Sauer P229 Equinox Custom Shop is a .40 S&W semi-automatic pistol combining the P229 platform with distinctive Equinox styling, a Nitron finish, and wood grips. Its traditional double-action and single-action trigger system provides a heavier first pull followed by a shorter, lighter single-action pull. A frame-mounted decocker allows the hammer to be safely lowered without firing the pistol. I should have done a...
I should have done a better job researching before I purchased it. The wood handle makes the pistol seem thicker and heavier than I had anticipated. It has been a while since I owned a wood gripped pistol. Very pretty and likely besides being heavy, very easily scarred. Definitely a range only pistol, or maybe a safe inhabitant. Not Sig's fault that I made a poor decision. I wish I had chosen more wisely.
