I love this little...
I love this little gun! People get ballistic happy when it comes to what is the best for self defense. I know a few police officers and one of them has been on his job for over 20 years and has never had to fire his weapon. Yes, he has pulled it many times but never fired. The chances of you ever needing your gun is not that good unless you live in the hood. So yes it's nice to have a giant killer with a 20 round clip, but in reality this little 380 will work for you if you know how to use it! I love compact pistols I also have a Sig 938 which is just a little bit larger. The quality of Sig guns are on the top of the list and you should not hesitate to purchase this or any Sig weapon. I am a single action fan and have been from my first purchase of a Colt Officer ACP 25 years ago. I carry this and all my single action guns with one in the chamber and the hammer closed. That is the way I have for over 20 years. You can take the weapon out and pull the hammer simultainiously without even thinking about it with practice. It's much safer to carry that way instead of the cocked and locked position. The recoil on this little gun is not bad and you can get back on target real fast for the successive rounds. I would recommend this weapon over the lighter polymer guns. I have a Diamondback DB9 and the recoil is much greater because the light weight of the weapon. The only thing I did to mine was I changed out the grip with a Hogue wrap around grip. It made the gun feel much better when shooting. It has a little bulge at the bottom of the grip so you middle and index fingers feel more comfortable around the small handle. I wouldn't buy the extended magazine for the gun because that defeats the purpose of a compact weapon. You might as well just purchase a larger caliber gun before you start to make this one larger. The only ammunition I had any trouble with was Tulammo steel case with a polymer paint on the casing. They would not seat fully into the barrel. I never had any miss fires and I have shot well over 2000 rounds through this with most major ammo makers. So I would recommend this weapon and if mine was lost I would purchase another one without hesitation.

Finally got to the...
Finally got to the range today with this "Little Jewell". I brought my Ruger LCP along to compare the two and find that there is a good use for both pistols. The LCP is lighter and half the price of the Sig, but the added weight of the all stainless P238 is much more controllable. This is my second transaction with BUD'S ......... I'll be back!!!
