SIG Sauer P290RS 9mm Black Polymer Nitron Sub-Compact Semi-Automatic Pistol

I bought this two...

I bought this two years ago and really have not fired it very much (maybe 25 rounds total). My wife liked it so she has been carrying it the past year. After firing a few rounds through it over the Thanksgiving weekend, I noticed the rear sight had lost it's white dot...and and exposed a red dot. I don't know if it came off during firing or fell off in her carry bag. I called Sig and they asked me to return the slide and they would repair it, but I thought this pistol had Sig Lite Night sights, but the factory guy said it didn't come with them....so for an extra $75 I am upgrading to the Sig Night Sites. The extended mag is the only way that I can carry this pistol, due to the short grip with the 6 round mag. I am still not comfortable with the trigger pull. It is a long pull and heavy too, more like a revolver. It does have a snappy recoil with Winchester 147 JHP as well. Regular 115 FMJ's had less recoil. All the rounds performed well. Only one issue, when the 8 round clip did not fully seat, which was probably my fault. It seemed a bit stubborn.... maybe just needs more breaking in. Overall, I think this is a good concealed carry backup or for a woman that just wants to pull the trigger without worry of a safety. I watched a you tube on disassembly and re assembly. It was not difficult after I watch the video. This is a much less expensive pistol than the Sig 938, which I also just purchased from Bud's, and is a better value for the money. I would give this five stars except for the problem with the sights coming off.
