A: No this pistol just came out earlier this month, in order to be CA legal a gun has to be certified by the CA department of Justice, the CA DOJ has not added, new gun to the approved handgun roster in like 10 years. A: No the only optics ready shield plus is the performance center version with a 4" barrel, that one cost around $900, but includes a crimson trace reddot. They do not make an optics ready version in the short barrel, and they also do not offer an optics ready version that doesn't come with a reddot. I emailed SW a couple weeks ago because I wanted to buy an optics ready shield plus without the CT Dot as I planned on running a holosun 507k, they told me there are currently no plans to offer a shield plus like that
