Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard 2.0 .380 ACP Pistol, Micro-Compact, No Thumb Safety

A: Hi Michael and welcome. Yes, weight goes a long way in recoil absorption amongst a few other variables like recoil spring weight and ergonomic design of the pistol. The lighter Bodyguard will recoil slightly more but not by a large margin due to the recoil spring setup. It is a vast improvement over the original Bodyguard. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

A: Hi Michael and welcome. 4.1 inches with the flush magazine and 4.6 inches with the 12rd extended magazine. Cheers and stay safe!

A: at this time S&W has not addressed those issues here are the solutions i have found and used " If you find that your recoil spring will not easily fit back into the notch in the barrel, check where the front of the spring is and, if it needs to be moved back under the cap, take a small tool and do it. The recoil spring will respond as it should and you will easily be able to re-install the recoil spring as it should be within the barrel and slide." and for the mag use a Uplula mag loader the 9MM-44 double stack works great on mine https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/92562/maglula+uplula+universal+magazine+loader+fits+9mm-45+acp+black

A: Seems folks are still having issues and from what I've been reading, S&W is pretty nonchalant about rectifying the issues??

A: No, this specific UPC is not California DOJ compliant. The product corresponding to UPC 022188897029 is the standard Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard 2.0 (.380 ACP, No Thumb Safety). It comes standard with a 12-round magazine capacity and lacks the mechanical features required to be listed on the California Handgun Roster. Because it exceeds California's 10-round capacity limit and lacks a magazine disconnect or a tactile loaded chamber indicator, commercial retailers cannot legally sell or ship this exact variant into California. California DOJ compliant model is listed below. budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/196289/sw+bodyguard+2.0+thumb+safety+black+.380+acp+2.75+ca+legal
