Smith & Wesson M&P Compact .357 Sig Blue/Black Pistol

I bought this gun from buds 1 year and 8 months ago, so here is my review of it after all this time. This is an excellent firearm. The trigger is a bit gritty at first, but will smooth out over time to be an excellent feeling and breaking trigger. I have left my firearm stock and it is one of my absolute favorites to have ever shot or carried. If you have any Glock model 30 holsters, the M&Pc guns (except in .45ACP) will fit it perfectly (identical profile). The recoil on the .357sig cartridge is stiff, but in the M&Pc it is managable and does not overly wear down one's hand (thank the polymer frame and rubber backstrap for that). This is also a highly reliable firearm. I once went nearly 6 months without shooting or cleaning this firearm and when I took it to the range I fed it an entire box or so of full house FMJ training ammo which it ate like a champ and never had a single malfunction (even after having had all that time to get gunked up from the detritus of daily concealed carry). Stock sights are practical and usable and need only be replaced if you prefer a different style or want night sights. In short, this gun has caused me to be a S&W devotee, and has only been upstaged as a carry gun by a S&W 1911. This gun now serves as a backup and nightstand gun, because it is still an excellent shooter, concealable, comfortable to shoot, reliable, good capacity for its size (and can take a full sized magazine, so use that for a secondary for increased capacity), and very economically priced for the quality you are getting. I recommend this and any other of the M&Pc pistols for anyone wanting a good, concealable firearm. You simply cannot go wrong here. In going through buds, I had very little trouble. The gun arrived as scheduled to my local FFL and transfer was hassle free. When buds has a gun I already know I want and they have it in stock, I buy from buds. Good service and prices as always.
