This was my first Smith & Wesson Performance Center 1911, and I have to say: I couldn't be happier. Right out of the box, the PC1911 impressed me. The build quality is outstanding—tight tolerances, smooth slide action, and a clean, consistent finish that reflects top-tier craftsmanship. The adjustable sights were dialed in perfectly, and accuracy was excellent without any tweaking. As for performance, this pistol is both ergonomic and easy to control. Recoil is very manageable, and the overall shooting experience feels refined. It's a reliable workhorse—I've had zero malfunctions through my first hundred rounds. In my opinion, this Performance Center model is better than my Kimber Pro in several key areas: fit and finish, out-of-the-box performance, trigger, and overall shooting feel. It absolutely lives up to its price tag, and in fact, it's motivated me to add another S&W Performance Center firearm to my collection.

Great service from Bud's. I ordered this gun last Saturday and received it on Wednesday. So far, I've shoot 100 rounds. Gun shoots very smooth and very little recoil for a 45 acp. Also, the trigger pull is pretty good from the factory considering the gun isn't broke in yet.

Very pleased with this PC 1911. Have put about 150 rounds of 230 gr. S&B hardball through it, and no malfunctions. Adjustable sights were on at 10 yards. No need to adjust. Will be shooting soon at 25 yds. Trigger is amazing for a less than $3000 1911. My Wheeler gauge registers 4 lbs. No takeup, creep, or overtravel. Very tight pistol; used supplied bushing wrench to takedown.
