For whatever the...
For whatever the reasons are there are some people that are dedicated to a single manufacture of 1911's. Be it 70 series purist thru & thru or an 80 series. I myself appreciate a fine 1911 that doesn't have to be a $3k pistol. My niche would be a lightweight frame that fits well in the hand. This is a bang for the buck loaded model without the noticable extra weight that most 5" 1911 steel frames carry. I sought this particular one out due to its lightweight, fit & finish, night sights & rail. I plan to mount a light on the rail for home duty purposes. If I were to have a negative complaint I guess it'd be the ambi-safety. It's not an issue that can't be resolved in little time. I've a lightweight Wiley Clapp colt commander which is another favorite of mine but then again I could easily justify & have a place for about any 1911 out there with a decent to nice trigger.
