The Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec is a full-size .45 ACP pistol built around a forged carbon-steel frame and slide. Its Blue/Black factory finish combines a Parkerized treatment on the flat surfaces with a bead-blasted matte treatment on the rounded areas. The five-inch match-grade stainless-steel barrel supports dependable service use, while the GI-style recoil system and short military-style trigger preserve the classic 1911-A1 configuration. Fixed combat 3-Dot sights, a lowered and flared ejection port, an arched mainspring housing with Springfield Armory's I.L.S., and a single-sided thumb safety complete the practical Mil-Spec package. Cross-cannon double-diamond cocobolo grips provide a traditional appearance and secure handling.
