I expected this to be...
I expected this to be a smooth shooting gun right out of the box it was ok, it was extremely hard to rack the slide until I had 500 some rounds through it other Springfield's I've have shot were so smooth and easy to handle I was disappointed with this. I had to put some grip tape from under the trigger guard down to the mag well to get a good hold of it. For being a elite model I think it could be more refined like other 1911s in its price range, however the trigger is outstanding.

It's an absolutely gorgeous piece, masterful gunsmith work and shoots like a dream. The one and only dislike is a big one. The bushingless new system is so foreign to me it feels unpatriotic! Lol
